An Evening Meal during Ramadan (Date: 11/10/2006)
Our first activity as an IEEE student branch was to meet in Koşuyolu Teachers’ Hall as an evening meal during Ramadan. We talked about new term plans and ideas as well as getting to know newly recruited branch members.

Istanbul IEEE Student Branches November Meeting (Date: 18/11/2006)
One of our monthly ordered Istanbul IEEE student branch meetings was held by us in November. We entertained other universities’ IEEE student branches and got to know them better. Brainstorming represents the best description for this meeting because we exchanged our ideas on the basis for our activities. Besides, our department head, Prof. Dr. Cem Göknar, did give an excellent speech and presentation about IEEE so that there becomes no unknown about IEEE.
 
Goodbye Old-Semester Dinner (Date: 20/01/2007)
The aim of this end-of-autumn organized dinner was to stretch out all stresses coming from dense examination and hard lecture program as well as to say final “goodbye” to our newly graduated friends. We evaluated in-term activities and found the opportunity to talk about new activities for new semester.

WIN Fair (Date: 8-11 March 2007)
             One of the important fairs in our country we attended WIN fair as the IEEE Student Branch as. We presented our fair project "Wireless Product Pricing System" to invited companies and the project had exposed intense interest. We have the opportunity to know the effect of joint activities, various industries and products and projects that IEEE student branches had the opportunity to present them.

Seminar: R & D Studies in Turkey and R & D Career (Date: 15 March 2007)
             Arçelik R & D Manager, İffet İyigün Meydanlı, participated as speaker in this seminar of R & D activities in our country, way of doing R & D and doing career opportunities in R & D. Students had showed a great interest in seminar intensely organized in Hall 3.

Seminar: Network and Information Security (Date: 27 April 2007)
               SmartPro Informatics Academy Network Specialist, Cevdet Işıklıoğlu, has participated as a speaker on these seminars. We learned much information in the field of network and information security due to being important issues in feasible transactions. We also learned the vulnerabilities that network structures have.
 
2nd IEEE Student Branch of Istanbul Traditional Anniversary Dinner (Date: 28 April 2007)
The 2nd traditional anniversary dinner is organized as the symbol of unity and togetherness. IEEE Student Branch of the Istanbul showed great interest in this event representing an example of solidarity in our country.

PROJISTOR'07 Project Competition (Date: 18 May 2007)
              Projistör'07 Project Competition was held by Doğuş University's IEEE Student Branch with the contribution and support of Doğuş University Electronics and Communication Engineering Department (ECED)'s and support. It was supported by sponsors, TÜBİTAK-BİDEB, IEEE and TEM (All Electronic Engineering) and was on Friday 18 May 2007 was at Doğuş University Acıbadem campus. In November 2006, PROJİSTOR'07 work was began. The purposes of the contest are getting the students to exchange knowledge and experience on Electronic Engineering and related sections of undergraduate studies to in Turkey
Providing opportunities for students and their work to offer to others
Creating good relations between the industry. At 14.00, after the completion of preparations, the project competition jury began reviewing the projects giving 15-minute presentation time then coffee break. Prof. Dr. Mitat Uysal, Professor. Dr. Cem Göknar, Assoc. Dr. Shahram and TEM delegate Kenan İstanbullu got together to decide the first there projects as jury committee. At 16:30, the award ceremony speech was given by Doğuş University IEEE Student Branch President Yusuf Demir. The first three projects have taken certificates and gift packages from the jury members. Farewell to Season Dinner (Date: 5 June 2007)
In this event we had the opportunity to evaluate work. Our board of directors had exchanged ideas about the work. This meal had also a significant meaning by means of saying final goodbye to graduating friends.
